The Pacific

by Noah's Apathy

1.
Today i should have stayed in bed. I'm awake and I have to rise and shine. Oh, all those times I said enough means enough, but you left me here for dead. Please, don't let me stay, ‘cause I'll never leave. You run through the corridor, scream it loud. That “there's murder here again.” the knife, it cuts your conscience out. stumbling on your words, the cat has got your tongue.
2.
She 02:31
Oh were is she now? Gone when I blacked out. She's a watered-down saint. A rhinestone pale shy face. She's all I can take, won't make me wait for nothing. She's breaking me down. With her smeared lipstick frown. Her shadow's seducing. Those eyes are impaling.
3.
The Pacific 03:19
It's the good life, if you apply you'll see there's benefits (oh babe). And the last time that i got behind the wheel i realized my demise. Cant we just dream? It's twilight of the gods and we still have to drive (oh babe). In the distance the Pacific is calling back my heart, come home.

Always 04:06
Don't be a wallflower tonight. You're a wreck but I'm alright. The taste of a bitter kiss, don't stop I'm abusing this. So here’s to all the good times that never stay. And all the good songs we overplay. And all the bad times that we've faced. I've had you, always. Taken back by the sight of an ill-starred night. Who knows where my body would lay at the end of a fateful day?
5.
She won’t remember the first time we met. It was late December when I first got obsessed. Well who knows where this leads? A long day in her arms is all I’ll need to calm down. Why should I care if this was done in vain? Too many times I've been played just the same.
6.
Oh these days were easier when I couldn't give in. And I know that you're wearing me like I'm the latest fashion. I know that you want it but it just ain't right. I know that you flaunt it but you waste your time. Oh you stare, you stare me down with hope and such fervent eyes. And although this entices me it's just the devil in disguise. I know that you want it but it just ain't right. I know that you flaunt it but you waste your time. From the mouth of rebellion I'll steal the words of a thousand tongues and all of the following will be maimed, burned or undone.

A Fine Line 02:09
Why I never realized this? Oh I don't know what I've been thinking now oh i suppose that I've been drinking now oh I don't know. There seems to be an aftertaste. There's a fine line and I'm falling short of grace. Never understand myself oh I don't know what I've been thinking now oh I don't know what I've been writing down oh I don't know. There seems to be an aftertaste. There's a fine line and I'm falling short of grace. Why I never told you this oh I don't know what I've been thinking now oh I suppose that I could live without oh I don't care.
8.
I live the day in the hands of disaster. And I sway from lips of betrayal. Longing for a time were I don't live just to die. An artist of death can paint me right in. I know I'll be alright. If I make it through the night. Tomorrow was no good. I give and take and love to make it better but fuck it all. I need to breath. I'm tired of asphyxiation. when at sea we'll sail into the terror. I'm taking up command, and washing the blood from our hands. And so we shall sink. I'll meet you at the bottom. I know I'll be alright. If I make it through the night. Tomorrow was no good. I give and take and love to make it better but fuck it all.

Bracelet 04:12
Blank-faced in a crowd of a thousand eyes. Alone and unwanted. Paperback writer of broken hearts but hey, don't cut your body. Are you waiting home tonight? With a bit too much to say? Are you all alone tonight? With a bit to much to say? Tell it like it is don't let them talk about you and what you should do. Don't let him in he's no good for you ‘cause hey, he's nobody. Are you waiting home tonight? With a bit too much to say? Are you all alone tonight? With a bit to much to say?
10.
How many times can we fall in love in the same day and then just move on? As the hangman observes the crowd we refrain, we say, everything is temporary. Hey, we can’t have it but we want it all. How many times, for heavens sake can we repeat the same lines and the same mistakes? oh the reaper holds you down, it's inevitable what we'll sing, that everything is temporary. Hey, we can’t have it but we want it all.
11.
Have you waited? For some time I've seen you sitting there. where you going brown eyes? The next stop is me. I fell in love but I've been hiding out, two seats over my time is running out. Under the streets I was riding out, with car-lit eyes my time is running out. Saw you looking my way. Is that smile for me? Now you're leaving. And I didn't even catch your name. I fell in love but I've been hiding out, two seats over my time is running out. Under the streets I was riding out, with car-lit eyes my time is running out. My buckled knees, her strapless green, the lights went red. I'm still waiting for you.
